a day out.

see that handsome man below? yeah.. he's fabulous. i got to spend all day with him and it was amazing. we get so busy with school and work that i treasure our days together.

we went to ruth's diner up emigration canyon.  (go there.  eat biscuits.)  then we ended up at paradise palm.  awesome variety of plants and friendly staff.  it was a great day!

park city valentine's.

my honey and i had an amazing valentine's dinner at our favorite restaurant, reef's, in park city.  as usual, we were treated like family and had some incredible grub.  we attempted to walk around main street after dinner.. but it was FREEZING!

after a failed attempt at stuffing our faces with red iguana again (too hungry to wait an hour for a table), we ended up at stoneground tonight. GREAT dinner. i highly recommend the chipotle shrimp with polenta and yummy goodness. and then there was dessert which blew our minds. hot cinnamon & sugar donuts with ice cream. that's right. it happened.

jared and i went to red iguana last night. and basically, i now want to go there every day, forever. i hadn't been in a while and this place is seriously good. if you're ever in SLC and need a place to eat, come here. how's that for an endorsement?

heaven. in a taco.

I'm always on the lookout for a great fish taco... they are hard to find! well, here's some news... we found an amazing fish taco in Utah!! for all of you CA folks who have access to Wahoo's fish tacos, you're very lucky. but now we've discovered Lone Star Taqueria. a co-worker of mine suggested it to me and it was amazing. we both got fish tacos and shared some INCREDIBLE nachos. not even kidding... if you want to have some great grub, call me. Jared and I will meet you at Lone Star. enough? ok. it's amazing, that's all.

easter dinner.

we had a wonderful Easter dinner at Dori's place. Andy, Annette & kiddos joined and it was fantastic. Dori made some fabulous food!!!

kitten cat. birthday festivities.

meet Savvy. the newest member of our little family. Savvy is our little 6 month old rescue kitty from the Humane Society. there were some gorgeous little kittens being given away in the classifieds, but this little girl needed a home, and I couldn't leave her in her sad little cage. my birthday was yesterday, and Jared's is coming up soon, so she is our little birthday gift. this is my first kitty... I've always been a dog person... but am slowly adjusting. how could I say no to this precious little girl... ?

then Jared took me out for a wonderful birthday dinner at The Copper Onion, downtown. it has some of the most fantastic food!

then yesterday, sweet Dori had us over for a birthday dinner for me. so gracious and SO yummy. growing up Mom always prepared a St. Patty's dinner with corned beef, cabbage, irish soda bread, etc. we always loved it. so Dori prepared that yesterday. so good!!

go away snow.

last night I had a wonderful dinner with wonderful girlfriends. love them. our dinners are never long enough for all that we have to say..


the only problem with the evening... I left our place when it was fairly nice weather. crazy windy, but not cold. so, of course, I use any opportunity I can to wear sandals. not so smart though!! while driving to dinner we were hit with a snow storm. came outside from dinner to a few inches of snow on the car. sorry to report, mom, I was not a good boy scout and was not prepared. had to shuffle around in the snow and clean off the car in my sandals, with no coat.
