dori's birthday.

my gorgeous sister, dori, had a birthday!!! we had a fun little birthday get together at her place on sunday. we made noodles romano (aka: creamy creamy fatty goodness from heaven) and topped it off with coconut birthday cake. dori is so wonderful to us and we are very grateful to live so close to her. we love you, dori!!!

birthday hubby.

happy happy birthday to my sweet husband. we celebrated over a couple of days and had a great time. on thursday, Jared and I had a birthday sushi dinner followed by a birthday movie (Rango). then on friday we had a great birthday lunch and dinner out with family. wrapped up with a birthday angel food cake with whipped cream and strawberries. my amazing mother and beautiful aunt cindy were in town for my nephew's baptism and we had such a fabulous couple of days with them. oh we love them.

time for THREE TANGENT TUESDAY! (where I blog about 3 random things... )

1. it's my sweet husband's birthday week!!! and... I am a child and cannot wait to give him gifts... so he came home to this hanging on the wall last night. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEETHEART!

2. weekend festivities at Dori's. my sweet sister invited us over to her place to watch General Conference this past Saturday and had this FEAST ready for us when we got there. goodness. GOODNESS! it was amazing... centered on the table are dutch babies, a Knight family favorite.

then she gave our little Savvy her first bath. the poor thing survived. thank you, Dori!

3. happy birthday, brother Andy! unfortunately I had to work during Andy's birthday party, but I made sure Jared brought our camera with him so I could see everyone... I love our great family..

meet Savvy. the newest member of our little family. Savvy is our little 6 month old rescue kitty from the Humane Society. there were some gorgeous little kittens being given away in the classifieds, but this little girl needed a home, and I couldn't leave her in her sad little cage. my birthday was yesterday, and Jared's is coming up soon, so she is our little birthday gift. this is my first kitty... I've always been a dog person... but am slowly adjusting. how could I say no to this precious little girl... ?

then Jared took me out for a wonderful birthday dinner at The Copper Onion, downtown. it has some of the most fantastic food!

then yesterday, sweet Dori had us over for a birthday dinner for me. so gracious and SO yummy. growing up Mom always prepared a St. Patty's dinner with corned beef, cabbage, irish soda bread, etc. we always loved it. so Dori prepared that yesterday. so good!!
