dutch babies recipe.

here is the recipe for the dutch babies i posted about last week.  this is the recipe i grew up with (thanks mom).

1/2 to 3/4 cups butter
6 eggs
1 1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar

  • preheat oven to 450*.  place butter in 9x13" pan and place in oven while preheating to melt.  watch butter to be sure it doesn't burn (i cut butter into chunks first).
  • in blender, blend eggs on high for 1 minute.  with blender running, slowly add milk then flour and sugar and continue to blend 30 seconds more.
  • pour mixture into hot pan with melted butter.  bake 20-25 minutes.  when done, remove from oven, sprinkle with lemon juice and powdered sugar.
